Yeovil Window Wanderland 2022

Yeovil Window Wanderland is back!

We are delighted to announce that we are running a 2nd edition of Yeovil Window Wanderland for 2022!

The 1st edition was a great success! With more than 200 window displays around the town and surrounding villages, put together by local residents, businesses and organisations.

The 2022 event starts from 14 January running until 14 February. This year we have joined forces with Love Yeovil, as part of a wider programme which provide our community the activities to support the mental health and general wellbeing, building resilience during this difficult time, with the funding received by South Somerset District Council. Alongside the funding support from Arts Council England and Co-op Local Community Fund, Yeovil Window Wanderland once again promises to light up our town and for all to enjoy! It is a Covid-safe event and free!

Light up our town together!

Yeovil Art Space is delighted to support bringing Window Wanderland to Yeovil.  Working with volunteers, artists, creatives, neighbourhoods, organisations and local businesses, together we can create a festival of colour and light that will illuminate the town for 4 weeks in the darkest months of our year.  Anyone can join in either as a WANDERER or a WINDOWMAKER or both!

FOR ALL WANDERERS

Welcome to the Yeovil Window Wanderland event!

Homes, businesses, schools and organisations across Yeovil decorate and light up their windows during the event. Visit our window projections!

Working in partnership with Love Yeovil with funding from South Somerset District Council, we are delighted to present 3 window projections across the town centre. Produced by artist Richard Tomlinson, working with artists and schools across Yeovil to create this window projection across Yeovil.

VISIT NOW!! Window Project at Nationwide Yeovil Branch

Artists Richard Tomlinson and Natasha Rand have been working with students at Buckler’s Mead Academy and members of our Young Artist Yeovil group to create a window project exploring the emotional wellbeing of young people, using positive and negative body language, considering issues of isolation and the joy of being together.  The projection will be switched on Monday – Saturday 5.30 – 8pm.

‘Shapes of Yeovil’ at Yeovil Library (It is now finished! Thanks for visiting!)

Created by artist Richard Tomlinson, the projection is based on a sequence of images from ‘Shapes of Yeovil’, a public realm artwork created by YOU&ME Architects, part of Yeovil Refresh Art Project for the high street regeneration happening right now in the town centre. For more details
