
Yeovil Window Wanderland is back!
This year’s Yeovil Window Wanderland is nearly here! Following the success of 2021 and 2022, we are again calling on local residents, businesses and organisations in Yeovil to join us in making another great event this year.
Beginning Sunday 12 February and running for two weeks across the half term until 26 February. Taking part is free! You can decorate your window, even your front garden or doors, with pictures, words, designs on any family friendly theme! Just fill in the form (please scroll down this page), let us know you are taking part, and add your location to the map, providing an amazing colourful trail around the town. Help us make a bright and window wonderful success for 2023!
This year we further our partnership with Love Yeovil, linking up with Lantern Parade, a popular family-friendly event for the town. Together, we brighten up our town in one of the darkest months of the year!
We are very grateful for funding received for these projects from Yeovil Town Council, South Somerset District Council and with generous support from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
Lantern Parade
Linking up with Yeovil Window Wanderland, Yeovil Art Space & Love Yeovil are also inviting you to take part in our free Lantern Parade at Ninesprings Country Park, Wednesday 15 February at 5pm*.
You are welcome to bring along your own lantern; make your own using our instruction below or at our drop-in workshops; or simply join us as the sun sets and see our lanterns shine in the evening light, accompanied by music and community atmosphere.
*Dress appropriately for a winter walk around Ninesprings Country park. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Covid safe. Outdoor event.

Free lantern-making Workshops
Join us at the drop-in workshops at Yeovil Art Space before the parade. It is free and all ages are welcome. No booking is required.
Saturday 11 February 10am – 2pm – Saturday’s Free Lantern Making Workshop
Monday 13 February 10am – 12 noon – Monday’s Free Lantern Making Workshop
Free lantern-making tool kits with materials and instructions. They are available at Ninesprings Cafe, Yeovil library and Yeovil Art Space. Limited number, get your pack now!

Make your own lantern
Everyone is welcome to this family-friendly event, to make a lantern and take part. Yeovil College students have created some amazing lanterns to join the parade and we invite you to have a go too!
Using the instruction here designed by artist Rachel Akerman, you can make your own at home and bring it along with you.

Light up our town together!
Yeovil Art Space is delighted to support bringing Window Wanderland to Yeovil. Working with volunteers, artists, creatives, neighbourhoods, organisations and local businesses, together we can create a festival of colour and light that will illuminate the town for 2 weeks in one of the darkest months of our year. Anyone can join in either as a WANDERER or a WINDOWMAKER or both!

Creativity for Wellbeing booklet
Created for the event in 2022 in partnership with Love Yeovil, it contains activities with easy-to-follow instructions for all abilities. You can enjoy the activities on your own, or with friends and family, using recycled and easy-to-find materials. Designed by artist Natasha Rand, Rachel Ackerman and Richard Tomlinson, who have experience working with the community and young people.
