OUR TOWN

October 2024 – March 2026

‘OUR TOWN’ is a partnership project between Yeovil Town Council, Yeovil Refresh, Connect Somerset, Love Yeovil, Yeovil College and a number of community organisations and groups. It will offer a programme of art and cultural events running from October 2024 to March 2026 and will cater for the town’s communities, working creatively with local arts and community groups.

The programme will include the creation of new public artwork with communities, a new art festival alongside SuperSaturday and Somerset Art Weeks, as well as a Creative Enterprise Programme aimed at 20 young people aged 16-30; all to boost the town centre events all year round. The project aims to bring arts and culture to the foreground and revitalise the town centre economy.

We are excited about making a new cultural destination in the South West, supporting local businesses & economy, raising the profile of our town and attracting visitors and bringing groups together in our town. Building our pride of place and Making Yeovil Creative.

We are in receipt of funds from many amazing organisations to bring Our Town to Yeovil. Our main funds of £79k have been generously funded by Arts Council England but we couldn’t do the project without funding from Yeovil Town Council, Somerset Council, Connect Somerset and our partnership with Love Yeovil.

OUR TOWN Artist Residencies
