Join the Procession – DREAM BIG, FLY HIGH!

On Saturday 28 March, Sue and Alice will be leading a BIG procession through Yeovil town centre!

As part of the OUR TOWN project our Art Action Group specially commissioned amazing artists Sue Green and Alice Bowen-Churchill to create a new participatory arts project in collaboration with our local community to celebrate Yeovil. They have been very busy with lots of you in recent months making flags, banners and costumes, this will be a riot of colour and joy.

All are welcome in our accessible route starting at the Triangle and then meandering our way around the town centre. Tell your friends and family, bring them along, and why not wear pink, green or blue to join the parade!

We are delighted to say we will also be accompanied by The Sounds of the Streets band, a Somerset based collective bringing unique street music with reeds, brass, drums and percussion.

This is a major event in the Yeovil Art Weekender programme and not to be missed!

“You can march with us, you can make with us, you can get involved and help us to make this a great event, celebrate what makes Yeovil such a unique place for its community.”

Follow the resources below to make your own bird to ‘Dream Big Fly High’ or a flying creature of your choice – see instructions below and FREE templates. Specially created by artist Sue Green for the OUR TOWN project and our Art Weekender procession.
