Help our town take centre stage!
A development opportunity for artists and creatives in Yeovil as part of the Our Town project, we are very excited to offer this opportunity for you to take part in a fully funded programme of training.
- 3 sessions taking place across 3 months
- Develop your ideas, gain skills, knowledge and confidence
- Work collaboratively to plan and deliver a vibrant community-led art festival
- Be a part of one of the main events in the Our Town programme
- Fully funded with thanks to Arts Council England
Participants will work together to develop a creativity driven, ambitious, and collaborative programme for the festival with their own ideas at the core.
The sessions will be interactive and creative ensuring participants take ownership of their festival vision. By the end of the programme, they will have a clear roadmap to deliver a successful art festival that showcases Yeovil’s creativity, engages the community, and enhances the town’s cultural profile.
We are delighted to announce Lucy Elmes will lead the training programme. Lucy is a Producer, Art Curator, and Head of Curatorial Programme at the wonderful Take A Part organisation in Plymouth, whose work strengthens the socially engaged art sector by connecting communities with artists.
