Somerset Open Studios

16 Sept- 1 Oct 2023

Yeovil Art Space welcomes six members of the Yeovil Creatives to set up studio space as part of the Somerset Art Works Open Studios event this September (16 Sept- 1 Oct 2023) and pioneer the new ‘members space’ venue in the town centre.

Katy Armstrong, Celia Brokenshire, Jess Egan, Dawn Handy, Ali Mauger and Stuart Speer will be showcasing their work in drawing, painting, pastels, mixed media art journaling, printmaking, sculpture and mosaic.

This interesting and diverse group of artists from the Yeovil Creatives, members of Yeovil Art Space who join together to share ideas and exchange skills, open their studios in the new Yeovil Creatives member space, an additional venue for the YAS artists, for two weeks this September. Visitors can gain insight into the individual artists’ practices and a broad range of mediums; be welcomed into the studio hub to explore their shared theme of the human creative experience and individual and diverse responses to the world around us.

Somerset Open Studios is a countywide event each autumn organised by Somerset Art Works, with artists opening up their studios and exhibition spaces to the public; giving behind the scenes talks and workshops and showing art for sale.
